The Dip Net was taken over by Lexi Zable and Dockside Seafood in the summer of 2017.
The Dip Net Restaurant and Dockside Seafood have no affiliation with Linda Bean's Perfect Maine or her affiliate companies. While we are very thankful for the opportunity to lease the establishment from Linda Bean, that is where our relationship ends.
Lexi Zable and Chef Chad are the 2 main cooks. Chad Upham is a Port Clyde local that has been feeding the community for 20 years. He has cooked at many of the local favorites over the years such as Farmers, The Harpoon, Craignair Inn and the East Wind Inn.
Lexi has culinary, hospitality and Food Service Management degrees from Johnson and Wales.
Chad and Lexi collaborate on the menu before every season hoping to hit the mark with all of our customers.

Eat right on the dock is very cool, although I am not a fan of the tent structure, it does allow you to enjoy the dock when the weather is questionable. They view is super. So glad to see it is now being run by a local, this makes all the difference.” - Ellenor C.

“We went with a group of friends and had a really fun time enjoying the fresh lobster. The waitresses were attentive and efficient with getting our food to us as well as gathering the many plates full of shells etc. Casual atmosphere, but lobster is always an expensive dinner choice!
